I dare not speak

Sleep eludes me
For when my eyes are shut
I see things I dare not speak.

The storm rages and fear is all around
no one is safe from the storm that comes
people flee for safety, taking with them
only what is necessary.

Babies are abandoned for their weight
has become a burden.
It is pandemonium everywhere
enemies make peace for the end is near.

Love is seen where there is no hope
for the sky turns dark and there is no escape.
Fear has become the logo and indulgence the motto.
Every one must go, this they know
Holding on to only straws
they watch as the inevitable draws.

I see things I dare not speak
for fear of being labeled mad or insane
and I am caught in the tirade.
